Therapy with Abigail Gianniny, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, PLLC
Deciding to engage in therapy can be a big step and I would love to support to you on your path to feeling better. Therapy is a deeply individual experience, and I tailor each session to meet you exactly where you are in that moment.

My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when we feel seen, heard, and accepted just as we are. I use a mix of evidence-based practices and holistic approaches that consider the whole you — mind, body, and spirit — because you’re more than just your thoughts, feelings and to-do list.

Sometimes we’ll talk about the big stuff: identity, anxiety, grief, relationships, motherhood, meaning. Other times we may slow down, take a breath, and simply check in with how your nervous system is doing. There’s no script here — just space for you to show up as you are.

If you’re looking for a therapist who brings human connection, compassion, curiosity, and the occasional brain-fart (#mombrain), I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
The Fine Print

I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through pregnancy, postpartum, and the early parenting years. I’m also certified in perinatal mental health and draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, person-centered therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.

My therapy practice, Abigail Gianniny, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, PLLC, is separate from my education and consulting business, My Motherhood Mindset, because these are two distinctly different services.

Therapy is appropriate for individuals navigating clinically significant concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or emotional dysregulation. It often involves a deeper exploration of your history, relationships, patterns, and the ways past experiences may be impacting your present. Therapy may also include formal assessment and diagnosis, and is rooted in evidence-based, research-supported treatment methods. It is typically longer-term and designed to promote healing, emotional insight, and meaningful internal change. I also incorporate holistic practices in my therapy, including nutrition and integrative health and mind-body health.

Workshops, Courses, and digital products, on the other hand, are not clinical or diagnostic in nature. This type of work is best suited for individuals who are not in crisis or experiencing severe mental health symptoms.
